Emprise adheres to all statutory and regulatory requirements with respect to Occupational Health & Safety activities. Emprise gained certification to OHSAS 18001:2007 in December 2007 and has implemented an occupational health & safety management system based on the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007. This demonstrates the company’s ability to provide a consistent service that meets our customer requirements.
The Business Support Team reviews all legislation to ensure compliance for both customers and colleagues. Emprise use a number of authority and advisory bodies including Workplace Law and HSE to stay informed of all relevant changes in legislation. As a company committed to responsible business practice, we ensure all changes to legislation and policy are communicated to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
Emprise Health & Safety objectives:
- Provide a safe place to work, including the provision of PPE, risk assessments, control measures and method statements, all new contracts will receive this information prior to the start up
- Provide appropriate levels of training to all employees
- Provide machinery and annually service and maintain (PAT)
- Ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met
- Reduce the severity of accidents and work related health issues
- Provide employees with information regarding OH&S at work
- Update and communicate OH&S policy and procedures annually
The Board of Directors will provide the required resources to achieve the set objectives, which are reviewed annually to ensure consistency and fulfilment of legislation requirements.
